Our Team

Jane Perrier – Managing Principal

Jane is a highly skilled and respected commercial IP and innovation advisor.

Before co-founding ipervescence,  Jane spent over 20 years leading Telstra’s global IP Team.  She has extensive experience in managing, exploiting and enforcing IP rights, including developing strategies for dealing with IP and engaging with stakeholders on IP reform issues.  Jane’s team was also responsible for advising Telstra’s Chief Technology Office on a range of innovation and technology issues including AI, IoT and big data.

Jane has a creative, strategic and collaborative approach.  She’s passionate about working with clients to align their IP with their business objectives to deliver specific value.

Karen Hallenstein – Managing Principal

Karen is a dynamic leader, specialising in driving positive change and innovation through thought leadership and strategic thinking.  She leverages her expert knowledge to deliver commercial and customer focused outcomes.

Karen is a specialist in IP, with a Masters degree in IP and 18 years’ experience as IP in-house counsel at Telstra.  She was also the leader of legal teams supporting Telstra’s big data and procurement business operations.

Karen is a highly engaging and dedicated business advisor, and champion of flexible career pathways for IP professionals.  She brings an enthusiastic and positive approach to drive practical outcomes tailored to clients’ needs.
